Who inspires you?
My grandfather was and is one of my greatest inspirations. He was a hardworking, kind, funny, and loving man who put his faith and family before anything else. Working several jobs to help make ends meet, he moved his family from Illinois to Florida in the 1950s. My grandfather worked for Honeywell for many years and was the first person to promote a female to a management position. He was never one to care what others thought as long as he was doing the right thing.
What would people be surprised to know about you?
I have a passion for traveling abroad. I’ve been to Japan, Iceland, Sierra Leone, Ireland, Spain, all of Western Europe. My goal is to visit a new country every year.
Beatles or Elvis?
If I’m being honest I would choose neither and go with The Eagles as my favorite band.
How did you wind up at Inspired Living?
I was looking to expand my experience in the senior living field and wanted to work for a company that was innovative and willing to try new ways of providing care and services to the senior population. I have often felt our industry needed to be more forward thinking and creative in our approach and design and Inspired Living is doing just that.
What do you want your legacy to be?
When people think of me, I want them to remember that I was a kind, loving, generous, and hardworking person. I want them to know that I always did what was right and was fair and honest. My faith is extremely important to me and how I treat others as I would want to be treated is my ultimate goal.
